For demons with animal traits, the nose is actually easier half the time. It's more distinct. Doesn't work for demons like Angel Dust though. Or His Majesty.
[Trust him, he did the research back in Hell. Biometrics is just a pain in general to work with when there's so many different body types, and some have the bio portion taken out.]
But if we're talking about giving access to ten different people, why bother with biometrics? Why not just put up a padlock with a number passcode?
Good point. Hard to have a nose print when you're lacking a nose.
[He thinks for a moment, weighing options.]
I'd thought of that, but if my arms're full of stuff, then doing a number padlock could be a problem. Maybe I'm overthinking it and I'm just used to Hell people getting wherever the fuck they want.
If your arms are full of stuff, a biometric lock's gonna be a problem too, 'cause you need to tell it to start scanning either way. Unless it's all kitted out with motion sensors and the door opens automatically. Don't get me wrong, I could try making all that for you, but it feels kinda... [He waves a hand idly.] -severe for a bar, if you get what I'm saying.
I've always been the logical one. You've just been hanging around a certain Radio Demon for so long, you lost sight of that.
[Maybe it's more accurate to say that Vox instantly becomes an idiot around Alastor and that's why Husk lost sight of it, but... Semantics.]
You want the easiest, cheapest solution? Get someone else to go with you when you're doing a supply run. Angel's got four hands, at least one of 'em can open the door for you.

[As much as Husk privately thinks something like that would be freaking awesome, Vox is right, it's not really needed.]
